She completed her MBBS and DM from the prestigious Madras Medical College and her MD from Thanjavur Medical College. She is a Balfour Gold Medalist in General Medicine in UG, a topper in TNMGR Medical University MD and DM Exams. She is known for her research works in Covid related Autoimmune Diseases and has several publications to her credit in National and International Journals. Her research worksn were awarded by Indian rheumatology association. Authored and edited various textbooks. She is also an assistant editor in Indian journal of rheumatology and an executive member of association of rheumatologist of Tamilnadu.
